Idyllic Wooded Lakeside Retreat

It’s all about the heavily wooded lakeside setting and the great outdoor space. Incredibly peaceful and restful, almost zen-like. The cottage and rooms are compact but comfortable. Please remember this is a rural woodsy lakeside retreat not a W Hotel!! The main house sleeps up to 6 and has one bathroom. Please note there is no laundry facility so please bring sheets and towels. Overflow beds are in a rustic bunkhouse sleeping 4 people in basic bunk beds. Has light, power outlet, windows, a fan and a space heater should you need them but no AC (it rarely gets real hot and often there is a Nice breeze from across the lake). Perfect for the kids! The lake is small but very pretty. Water is relatively shallow and warm. Lake floor is a mixture of sand and silt. We swim all the time in the sandy area in front of the small private beach. For those who like to fish I’m told it’s amazing because of the warm shallow water. You’ll see neighbors out fishing every day. No power boats are allowed.
